DMRRR organizes a one-day disaster preparedness training program

Srinagar, March 26:Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR) J&K, in conjunction with SDRF and Civil Defense, conducted a one-day disaster preparedness training for medical personnel and paramedic from non-governmental organizations, HELP and KASHMER (Kashmiri American Society for Health Care, Medical Education and Research).
The organization provides critical care ambulance service facilities to patients in the golden hour of illness, which helps reduce mortality and morbidity. The organization also educates the masses on the importance of pre-hospital care, which is an essential component of emergency medical services. Staff members have received training in basic first aid, firefighting, search and rescue.
Aamir Ali, Nodal Officer, Srinagar State Emergency Operations Center, inaugurated the training in the presence of Dr. Syed Riyaz, Project Manager of the organization. The training was conducted by an SDRF and Civil Defense team led by Aijaz Ahmed.
